Our Executive Team
Scott Holsopple, president and chief executive officer, joined Smart401k as president in August 2007. Scott has provided a vision for an enhanced product and company growth: He is passionate about engaging Smart401k members in retirement planning and helping them to take control of their retirement dreams. Prior to coming to Smart401k, Scott worked for an $11 billion venture capital and private equity firm where he focused on the financial services and technology industries. Earlier in his career, Scott was an investment banker at TD Securities. He graduated with distinction from The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Finance and was a member of the varsity track team. Scott is also an accomplished runner and a fervent advocate for improving urban schools.
Shannon Duncan,
vice president of marketing and communication, started with Smart401k
in November 2009. Shannon has increased the amount and quality of
educational resources the company provides, including email
communications and new website features. She previously spent 13 years
at JPMorgan Retirement Plan Services where, as director of the
participant experience, she oversaw the targeted participant
communication strategy and product development. Shannon graduated from
the University of Missouri, Columbia with a B.S. in Human Environmental
Studies. She is an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction alike.
Kevin Jaegers, chief compliance officer and director of product development, joined Smart401k in 2006. Kevin focuses on delivering high-quality advice products, while continuing to enhance the online offering of retirement planning resources. He graduated from Missouri State University with a B.S. in Risk Management and is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. Kevin enjoys spending time with his two sons and is a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs.
Scott Revare, chairman, co-founded Smart401k in 2003 and served as chief executive officer until 2010. Scott guided the company through its infancy, working to evolve a service that nearly 11,000 members have come to rely on for investment guidance and education. Prior to co-founding Smart401k, Scott spent 18 years as a leader of the North American Financial and Human Resources practice for Accenture. There he was an expert in developing major financial programs and education for Fortune 500 organizations. He is actively involved with the Carpenter’s Kids organization, a charity that provides food and necessities to Tanzanian school children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Scott is also a tennis devotee.
Adam Bold, chief investment officer, co-founded Smart401k in 2003. Also the founder of The Mutual Fund Store® and the host of nationally syndicated radio program
The Mutual Fund Show®, he plays an active role in monitoring, researching and analyzing market conditions and economic trends for Smart401k. Adam’s market outlook is an extremely important consideration for Smart401k advisers as they prepare allocation recommendations. His investment expertise and his ability to communicate in easy-to-understand terms have enabled him to be a frequent guest on many financial television shows. Adam is also a golfer and a car enthusiast.
